Job summary

Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, Illinois seeks an Imaging Support Services Associate to join our Radiology team. This role provides essential administrative, clerical, and logistical support, handling imaging requests, preparing images, and supporting patients and staff.

You will follow HIPAA and hospital policies, maintain accurate records in EMR, and assist with coordination across departments. A high school diploma is required; experience with EMR systems (EPIC) is preferred, and teamwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as EPIC, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with check-in for imaging appointments.
• Greet and escort patients to and from scan rooms using AIDET principles.
• Transport patients to and from radiology and ensure their presence in the procedure room.
• Handle image requests in system, on film, or CD, following confidentiality protocols.
• Import/export images, log details, and digitize film.
• Digitize and upload film images into PACS, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Prepare images and invoices for legal requests.
• Retrieve, create, and merge reports, images, and other patient data.
• Comply with DNV and HIPAA standards and hospital policies.
• Anonymize images for meetings such as Trauma, Tumor Board, and Lung Nodule.
