Banner Staffing Services, a Banner Health system staffing partner, is seeking an adaptable administrative support professional to assist technologists and nurses in a fast-paced imaging department in Mesa, AZ.

The role includes greeting patients, scheduling, data entry into PACS, chart filing, insurance verification, and coordinating discharges and transportation. Shifts are assignment-based, with weekend availability; registry/per diem positions have no guaranteed hours or benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Certification for BLS is required.
• Strong communication and discretion with patients and staff.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.
• Proficient in office software and keyboarding.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to interact with diverse customers in a busy medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, staff and the public; answer calls; schedule appointments; enter orders; provide general information.
• Enter patient information into the computer; scan documents into PACS; maintain patient records.
• Assist in acquisition and distribution of digital patient records; upload images into PACS.
• Process image requests ensuring proper release of confidential information.
• Verify patient demographics/insurance; collect copays; coordinate procedures and transportation.
• Prepare schedules, charts, labels; reconcile tickets; assist billing with daily tasks.
• Assist in pre/post procedure setup; stock rooms; follow sterile procedures; support radiation safety.
