Zusammenfassung

VCU Health is seeking a student worker to join the Interventional Radiology Tech team. You will assist under the direct supervision of licensed radiology staff, helping with high quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams and patient transport.

Current enrollment in an accredited Radiation Sciences, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine program is required, along with CPR-BLS certification. Weekday evenings and weekend shifts may be required in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifikationen

• Enrollment in accredited School of Radiation Sciences, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Program.
• CPR-BLS certification required.

Aufgaben

• Under supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist, assist in radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams.
• Initiates request for patient transportation and directs patients to imaging rooms.
• Stocks and obtains supplies as directed.
• Adheres to hospital and radiology policy/procedure; follows supervisor guidance for schedule changes and care deviations.
• Supports patient care, emotional support, and problem solving during procedures.
• Works within a fast paced imaging department with multiple priorities.
