Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking an Imaging Student Extern PRN to gain hands-on imaging experience while learning from a dedicated team. You will support patient preparation, room setup, and care team communication in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor degree and BCLS within 30 days of starting. The role offers exposure to imaging services and growth opportunities within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging, verify identities and assist with positioning with clear communication.
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting comfort during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover and organize supplies for a clean, safe environment.
• Serve as a connection between patients, technologists and the care team by communicating needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards.

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning communicating clearly and compassionately
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly
• Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
