Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is seeking an Imaging Services Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. The RN collaborates with radiology, imaging, and clinical teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the imaging process.

The role includes comprehensive assessments, IV access, procedural support, monitoring sedation, and post-procedure care for diverse patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arkansas.
• ACLS certification or eligibility to obtain.
• CPR certification.
• Proficiency with IV access and venipuncture.
• Ability to interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs).
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures and ensure they understand instructions.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and informed consent prior to procedures.
• Administer and document medications per hospital policies.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Monitor patients during procedural sedation and respond to changes in condition.
• Assist with interventional radiology procedures and imaging studies.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention practices.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR.
• Collaborate with radiology, imaging staff, and physicians to ensure safe patient flow.
