  • Coordinate and facilitate a system approach to imaging functions including infrastructure, collaborative operations, compliance, medical staff partnerships, strategic planning, capital budget coordination, freestanding imaging strategy, Radiation Safety Coordination, PACS, Transcription and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Coordinates an ongoing Quality Assurance Program to ensure a high level of patient care.
  • Ensures imaging services are in compliance with The Joint Commission and other regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Monitors fees charged to patients for services, including evaluating the pricing and cost structure to ensure alignment with departmental guidelines.
  • Ensures implementation of the equipment service program and maintains proper operations of imaging equipment. Directs capital equipment planning, purchasing and maintenance for imaging services.
  • Coordinates all maintenance agreements with appropriate system functions to control costs, service and compliance with established market and/or system guidelines.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  • Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
