Indiana University Health seeks staff to support radiology imaging exams through clerical and patient care tasks. Roles include scheduling, patient screening, and preparing patients, as well as assisting with transporting, IV access, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures under supervision.
The position requires active registration in a radiology x-ray program, with a PRN schedule and opportunities to work across imaging departments.
Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams. Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory. Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency. All other duties as assigned. Must be actively registered in a radiology x-ray program.
