Indiana University Health Fishers Hospital in Fishers, Indiana is seeking a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to operate X-ray, fluoro, portable X-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment and to prepare patients for exams.

The role emphasizes collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians, adherence to radiation safety, EMR documentation, and flexibility in scheduling without calls or holiday coverage.

Competenze

• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when patient condition limits routine positioning.
• ARRT RT(R) credential or board eligibility; if board eligible, credential within 6 months of hire.
• ISDH license or ISDH Radiology Student Permit is required.

Overview: This is a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist opportunity at IU Health Fishers Hospital in Fishers, Indiana.

The PRN schedule offers flexibility, allowing team members to pick up shifts based on their availability. Ideally, candidates will have some weekday availability to help support coverage needs.

No call responsibilities or holiday coverage are required for this position.

Job Duties, Tasks and Qualifications

Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follows radiation safety protocols. Documents detailed patient history. Stays current with continuing education. Monitors patients during exam for safety. Documents necessary information in EMR. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
