Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Avon, OH team at Lutheran Hospital, delivering high-quality care and patient education in a per diem daytime role.

Requirements include ADN or BSN from an accredited program, active Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience; ACLS within 6 months of hire preferred. Per diem scheduling offers flexibility with pay at $43/hour, supporting discharge planning and ongoing patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required.
• One year of recent RN experience required.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles in the department.
