Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a motivated professional to help manage and facilitate research within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, physics, imaging science, computer science or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple research projects with strong planning and communication.
• Experience across scientific, engineering, clinical, and regulatory contexts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research projects through planning, documentation, progress tracking, and communication of issues.
• Plan and perform experiments, troubleshoot, and implement new methods and workflows.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities with faculty, staff, students, clinicians, and external collaborators.
• Manage laboratory equipment, including maintenance, updates, and vendor coordination.
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures and workflows for efficiency and reproducibility.
• Ensure operations comply with institutional, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Assist with regulatory activities including FDA submissions and IRB approvals.
• Support inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Assist with inventory, supplies, facilities coordination, and scheduling of equipment.
• Participate in training and supervision of students and junior staff.
• Contribute to grant proposals, publications, and scientific communications.
