Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist Assistant to support the Radiology team with RIS use, basic computer skills, and strong communication. The role emphasizes safety, organization, and patient interaction.

Responsibilities include room setup, patient transport with proper identifiers, equipment operation, and coordination with the Radiology staff. A high school diploma and a current imaging program semester are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in imaging program; at least 1 clinical semester completed.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with radiology workflows.

Responsibilities

• Organizes rooms, stocks linen and maintains supplies.
• Transports patients using proper patient identifiers.
• Operates radiographic equipment per ALARA principles.
• Reviews daily department schedules and coordinates with radiology team.
• Responds to patients and visitors promptly and politely.
