Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) in Prescott Valley seeks an Imaging Professional to perform advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging, support physicians, monitor patients, and operate imaging equipment for real-time guidance and accurate diagnosis.

You will ensure patient safety, verify patient identity, assist with positioning, and perform point-of-care renal screening and IV starts under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience performing IV starts is required.
• Completion of an approved IV access training program.
• EMT-Paramedic training with relevant certification.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Restraint Training within 6 months of hire.
• Safe Patient Handling training within 6 months.
• Oxygen Training within 6 months.
• Renal function screening point-of-care testing within 6 months.
• Medical Terminology course training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Check department equipment and report defects.
• Verify patient identity before escorting to the imaging suite.
• Assist technologist with patient positioning.
• Perform point-of-care renal function screening.
• Start IV for contrast under technologist direction.
• Document scans into the EMR as directed by the technologist.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Imaging Professional, you will be a highly specialized and essential member of our clinical team, pivotal in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly execute diverse specialized imaging procedures, assisting physicians, meticulously monitoring patients, and precisely operating sophisticated equipment for critical real-time guidance and accurate diagnosis.

A steadfast commitment to patient safety advocacy is crucial. Ensuring patient safety is of utmost importance.

• Checks department wheelchairs and oxygen tanks assuring they are mechanically sound; immediately reports equipment defects to supervisor.
• Ensures correct identity of patient before escorting them to the waiting room or modality.
• Assists technologist in getting the patient into the scan room and positioned on the scan table.
• Performs point of care renal function screening.
• Starts IV for IV contrast injection under the direction of the technologist.
• Scans documentation into the EMR per the technologist direction.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Experience performing IV starts
• Successful completion of an approved intravenous IV access training program or
• EMT - Paramedic training program
• American Heart Assocition
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Restraint Training within 6 months
• Safe Patient Handling program within 6 months
• Oxygen Training program within 6 months
• Point of Care Renal Screening Testing within 6 months
• Medical Terminology course training within 6 months
