Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ, seeks an Imaging Professional to join our clinical team. You will perform advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, support physicians, monitor patients, and operate sophisticated equipment to guide real-time decisions.

You will help ensure patient safety and participate in diverse tasks from IV starts to preparing the scan room, documenting in the EMR, and assisting with renal function screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• IV starts experience required or EMT-Paramedic training helpful.
• IV access training completion or EMT-Paramedic training.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.
• Restraint and Safe Patient Handling training within 6 months.
• Oxygen and Renal screening training within 6 months.
• Medical Terminology course training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Check department equipment and report defects promptly.
• Verify patient identity before escorting to the modality.
• Assist technologist to position patient for scans.
• Perform point of care renal function screening.
• Start IV for IV contrast under technologist direction.
• Document scans into the EMR as directed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Imaging Professional, you will be a highly specialized and essential member of our clinical team, pivotal in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly execute diverse specialized imaging procedures, assisting physicians, meticulously monitoring patients, and precisely operating sophisticated equipment for critical real-time guidance and accurate diagnosis.

A steadfast commitment to patient safety advocacy is crucial. Ensuring patient safety is of utmost importance.

• Checks department wheelchairs and oxygen tanks assuring they are mechanically sound; immediately reports equipment defects to supervisor.
• Ensures correct identity of patient before escorting them to the waiting room or modality.
• Assists technologist in getting the patient into the scan room and positioned on the scan table.
• Performs point of care renal function screening.
• Starts IV for IV contrast injection under the direction of the technologist.
• Scans documentation into the EMR per the technologist direction.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Experience performing IV starts
• Successful completion of an approved intravenous IV access training program or
• EMT - Paramedic training program
• American Heart Assocition
• Basic Life Support
• Restraint Training within 6 months
• Safe Patient Handling program within 6 months
• Oxygen Training program within 6 months
• Point of Care Renal Screening Testing within 6 months
• Medical Terminology course training within 6 months

Preferred
