Job summary

Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health, seeks a Multi-Skilled Technician to support patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The MST will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated, document patient data, and maintain a clean, orderly patient area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses and initial clinical competency upon hire/transfer.
• Current BLS healthcare provider certification.
• Previous patient care experience or health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and other ADLs as directed.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly.
• Obtain vital signs including height, weight, blood glucose, and I&O.
• Perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated by the Staff RN.
• Document patient data accurately and completely.
• All other duties as assigned.
