Job summary

Middlesex Health is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to supervise and optimize daily imaging operations across the Urgent Care modality in Middletown. You will ensure high-quality patient care, mentor staff, and coordinate QC/QA activities while collaborating with Radiology and Urgent Care teams.

The role demands ARRT certification, CT/licensing, leadership experience, and the ability to uphold system policies and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: Three to five years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist and leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates and oversees daily operations, workflow, customer service and quality control of imaging services within the Urgent Care modality.
• Functions as Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, interview patients to identify chief complaints.
• Provides mentorship and coaching to staff and students; supports problem solving and training.
• Performs regular QC checks and coordinates machine maintenance; conducts QA checks for technicians and records incidents.
• Acts as liaison between Radiology Department and Urgent Care clinics to ensure up-to-date practices for all techs.
• Uses initiative and teamwork to perform imaging procedures and promote morale; collaborates across departments.
