Job summary

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls is seeking an Imaging Office Coordinator to support the radiology department with scheduling, registration and recordkeeping, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will lead clerical staff, verify procedure documentation, welcome patients, and contribute to training of technologists, while upholding service standards and effective communication.

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a medical office environment preferred.
  • BLS or BCLS Certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Competence with computer systems; fluent in medical terminology preferred; strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the radiology department, including patient scheduling, registration, recordkeeping, telephone and office reception, and routine office duties.
  • Help positively manage and coordinate each patient’s experience during their time in the radiology department.
  • Perform lead duties, directing the work of the radiology secretaries and other clerical staff.
  • Ensure that all required documentation for each procedure is present before the exam is started.
  • Utilize effective reception skills to help ensure high patient satisfaction by greeting patients and visitors as they arrive and answering phones professionally.
  • Assist with the training of new technologists and student technologists in all department procedures related to the radiology office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As the Imaging Office Coordinator, you will be joining a team of employees who are compassionate, kind and deliver high quality, patient centered care. We work hard to support each other where the patients are the center of all we do.

In this role:

  • You will provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the radiology department, including patient scheduling, registration, recordkeeping, telephone and office reception, and routine office duties.
  • You will help to positively manager and coordinate each patient’s experience during their time in the radiology department.
  • You will perform lead duties, directing the work of the radiology secretaries and other clerical staff.
  • You will ensure that all required documentation for each procedures is present before the exam is started.
  • You will utilize effective reception skills to help ensure high patient satisfaction by pleasantly acknowledging patients and visitors as they arrive, answering phones in a friendly, professional manner.
  • You will assist with the training of new technologists and student technologist in all department procedures related to the radiology office.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

  • One (1) year experience in medical office environment preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Competence with computer systems is required. Fluent in medical terminology preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills required.
