Requirements

• Current license in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
• At least 18 months of experience in Special Procedures/Interventional, preferably in a critical care setting
• Additional requirements as determined by the client facility

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to assist with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department by providing technical support to the IR team.

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images as per physician specifications and orders.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient responses, maintaining sterile fields, and interpreting diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and professional guidelines.
• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment focused on excellence, providing timely and compassionate care.
• Accurately prepare and update patient records.
