Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a Radiology student for PRN duties in the Radiology department. You will provide patient services under direct supervision and assist technologists in imaging procedures, while ensuring safety and proper positioning for accurate exams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide services to patients under the direct supervision.
• Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
