Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Group USA company, seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to maintain and repair imaging equipment across healthcare facilities. You will perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, and safety inspections ensuring high uptime and patient care.

The role requires five years of radiology and biomedical equipment repair experience, familiarity with MRI, CT, ultrasound, and other modalities, and the ability to work on-call.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training.
• At least five years of experience with imaging equipment manufacturers or related experience.
• Minimum five years experience in the repair of radiology equipment and prior biomedical experience.
• Specialized knowledge in modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath. lab., linear accelerators.
• CRES certification in these modalities preferred.
• Good communication and strong customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to serve on-call duties.
• Willing to serve as a technical resource to others.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where required and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment in compliance with standards
• Perform major repairs by replacing defective components and readjust components to manufacturer specifications; certification may be required
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians
• Confers with manufacturer representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment-related problems
• Provide emergency on-call responsibilities
• Research and initiate orders for repair parts within budget parameters
• Conduct and compile Quality Assurance records and reports for compliance
• Document all significant asset-related actions per department practices
• Must be capable of performing all duties of a BMET III
