Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) seeks a Chief Radiologic Technologist to orchestrate daily workflow in the Imaging Department, delegating staff as needed and coordinating with the Director of Imaging.

You will oversee imaging studies per physician orders, ensure ALARA compliance, provide staff training, and drive quality assurance across ARH radiology services. This leadership role requires proactive communication and accreditation adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
• Maintains registry requirements with ARRT.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Science or healthcare related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and transports patients as necessary.
• Performs imaging studies and verifies/ completes studies in RIS/PACS.
• Reviews PACS for issues and coordinates with radiologists to resolve them.
• Oversees training and staff development in the Imaging Department.
• Ensures compliance with hospital, state, and federal standards.
