Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Director of Radiology to lead all technical operations of the Radiology Department. The role focuses on planning, staffing, and ensuring high-quality imaging services in compliance with applicable standards.

The position requires an AMA approved radiologic technology background with ARRT certification and several years of leadership experience in radiology.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of radiologic technology; ARRT certification required; BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages department to achieve maximum results through planning, organization, and control of activities.
• Schedules work assignments and coordinates requests to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Supervises and maintains radiologic services in compliance with hospital, state, local, and federal standards.
• Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of services via ongoing quality assurance program.
• Performs special procedures and assists radiologist with difficult procedures.
• Develops and maintains radiologic safety programs and radiation safety equipment.
