Job summary

Stanford Radiology is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to coordinate multiple complex clinical studies within the Department of Radiology, from start-up through close-out, collaborating with principal investigators, the Clinical Research Manager, sponsors, and institutional partners.

The CRC2 will independently manage recruitment, regulatory activities, data management, sponsor interactions, and study financial logistics, while training staff and improving research processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience in clinical research, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
• Experience with research protocols and regulatory or governing bodies, including HIPAA and FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and Good Clinical Practices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subject recruitment and study enrollment goals.
• Oversee data management for research projects and develop systems to organize, collect, report, and monitor data.
• Develop study schedules, targets, measurements, and accountabilities; lead team meetings.
• Formally supervise, train, and mentor new staff or students as assigned.
• Audit operations to ensure regulatory compliance; monitor IRB submissions and respond to requests.
• Collaborate with principal investigators and sponsors; monitor and report serious adverse events.
• Develop improvements to policies/processes; define best practices.
• Develop study budget with staff and PI and track milestones; invoice sponsors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance; inspect study documents; manage IND submissions to FDA as applicable.
