Job summary

Sharp Imaging Center is seeking a patient care assistant to support imaging procedures, transport patients to and from the Imaging Center, and perform essential clerical duties including scheduling and documentation.

The role requires AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred EKG training with clinical hours and one year of patient care experience. This is an on-site position with weekend as-needed coverage.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS Healthcare is required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
• EKG training with documented clinical hours is preferred.
• 1 year of patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Imaging Center procedures including transportation and monitoring patients to and from imaging modality and perform clerical duties including patient scheduling.
• Provide clinical support by transporting patients, greeting and escorting patients to imaging rooms, and observing patients during procedures.
• Maintain safety, communicate changes in patient condition to nursing and imaging staff, and ensure correct identification and documentation.
