Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will deliver compassionate patient care, assist imaging procedures, and help ensure patients are safe and informed during their visit.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced clinical setting, prioritizing patient safety and teamwork. Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:30pm with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Required: 1 year Medical Assistant experience or with preferred education no experience is required.
• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or CPR certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and basic histories following DI procedures.
• Prepare and complete pre/post‑procedure documentation.
• Educate patients and perform initial screenings before imaging.
• Verify orders, coordinate labs, and document results.
• Assist with IVs, exam room setup, and patient discharge instructions.
• Support DI providers with triage and scheduling.
• Maintain sterile environments and adherence to protocols.
• Communicate professionally with patients, faculty, and staff.
• Adhere to accreditation standards and dress code.
