Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Cardiologist (Imaging Level III preferred) to join Sacred Heart Hospital’s regional practice in NW Florida. This employed role supports a mix of outpatient clinic duties and occasional inpatient rounding with APP support, in a strong referral network.

The ideal candidate is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology, with Florida licensure readiness and ACLS preferred. This position integrates with a mission-driven health system offering growth and stability.

• Board certification in Cardiology required or soon-to-be eligible
• Advanced Life Support preferred (ACLS or ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Join a team of physicians and APPs to deliver imaging-guided cardiology care

• Join a team of 13 physicians and 14 APPs

• Practice setting: mix of outpatient clinic and occasional inpatient rounding with APP support

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Facilitate practice growth and quality care

• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a highly efficient practice model

• Level III Imaging certified (strongly preferred)

• Sacred Heart Hospital was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1915. What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
