Job summary

Core Systems in Poway, California is seeking a Technician to prepare, image, configure, test, and burn‑in computers, servers and electronic systems for manufacturing. You will ensure correct BIOS/firmware, drivers, and customer configurations per work instructions and BOMs while maintaining strict configuration control.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to document results, troubleshoot issues, and release systems to the next manufacturing stage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in computer manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
• Experience imaging computers or installing operating systems.
• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing and test procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform system imaging and load approved operating system images.
• Configure BIOS/UEFI settings per controlled work instructions.
• Install drivers, applications, and system files; verify versions.
• Set up burn‑in tests and monitor systems for failures.
• Record results, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with Engineering or Quality as needed.
• Maintain traceability between serial numbers, images, and test results.
• Follow ECOs/ECNs and controlled work instructions; report discrepancies.
