Core Systems in Poway, CA seeks a meticulous Quality Assurance Inspector to perform final inspections on computer systems, servers, and components before shipment. You will verify conformance to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and internal standards, and perform electrical tests where applicable.

The role requires 3–5 years of related hardware QA experience, strong documentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of QA/inspection experience in hardware.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual and functional inspections on completed computer systems, servers, and components prior to packaging.
• Verify products meet customer specs, drawings, and internal standards.
• Run electrical/functional tests including BIOS checks and burn-in when applicable.
• Inspect labeling, serial numbers, and documentation for accuracy.
• Identify nonconformities, document, and report NCRs; collaborate to resolve issues.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, and QC logs; follow ESD/safety rules.
• Assist in developing SOPs and inspection checklists; participate in improvements.
• Support First Article Inspections as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
