Job summary

Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic is seeking an Authorization Specialist - (FDC) to secure all required Prior Authorizations for Imaging procedures such as MRI, CT Scan & Ultrasound by coordinating with insurance providers. You will document authorization details in the database and support Radiology patient encounters on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 12–18 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12–18 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the authorization phase of Radiology patient encounter, verify with insurance via phone or online if pre-authorization is required for Radiology diagnostic testing.
• Use information in EMR to complete clinical information requirements for authorization.
• Collaborate with referring physician when additional clinical information is needed to support the procedure.
• Request peer-to-peer reviews as necessary to obtain authorizations and approvals on testing.
