Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a patient-centered Imaging Services support professional for an on-site, part-time role (0.5 FTE) at our Milwaukee facility. The role combines clerical duties (registration, insurance verification, EMR documentation) with patient-care tasks (communication, transport to imaging, and assisting technologists).

Preferred candidates have at least 1 year in a clinical or hospital setting and a High School diploma or equivalent. AHA BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical or hospital experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care across Imaging Services and perform clerical duties.
• Greet patients, assist with registration, and verify insurance.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families by phone and in person.
• Transport patients to/from imaging department and assist technologists.
• Document in EMR and maintain proper phone etiquette.

Shift: Shift 1

Shift Details: 8:00am-6:30pm Saturdays and Sundays Holidays: Included in holiday rotation.

Job Summary

Provides patient centered care across all areas of Imaging Services. Clerical duties may include but are not limited to: reception, way finding, registration, insurance verification, documentation in EMR, utilization of proper phone etiquette. Patient care duties may include but are not limited to: detailed/clear communication by phone and in person to prepare patients for studies, monitoring inpatients and assisting them with basic needs, monitoring patients, transporting patients to and from the imaging department and assisting technologists with performing imaging studies. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

One year experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing care, resolving patient care problems and dealing with patients and families. Ability to use general medical support equipment, including patient lifting devices; understand and follow instructions, as well as give clear directions to patients and others in need of assistance and guidance; good listening skills. Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, fax, copy, document scanners, and tube stations. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
