Job summary

Philips is seeking an AI/Algorithm Engineer to port, optimize, and deploy deep learning pipelines for vascular imaging in Bedford, MA. You will work across X-ray angiography, OCT/IVUS, and other cardiovascular modalities within a regulated medical device environment.

The role emphasizes production-ready implementation, model conversion, automated testing, and collaboration with clinicians and engineers to ensure robust, maintainable software with regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years post-graduation experience in algorithms, ML, or software in a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities

• Port, optimize, and deploy existing deep learning pipelines across hardware platforms, improving memory use, throughput, and latency.
• Convert and integrate models across frameworks and runtimes (e.g., ONNX), collaborating with software/systems engineers to deliver robust, maintainable code.
• Build automated tests and benchmarks demonstrating ported algorithms reproduce reference results and document them as verification evidence.
• Develop new algorithms for X-ray angiography, intravascular OCT/IVUS, and other cardiovascular imaging from ideation to production-ready implementation.
• Drive data sourcing, curation, and annotation, and evaluate model performance with rigorous statistical methods.
• Contribute to verification, validation, risk management, and regulatory submissions for AI-enabled medical devices.
