Job summary

Oasis Programs LLC is seeking an ILS Instructor in Sacramento, CA to teach Independent Living Skills in community and home settings. You will assess participant needs, develop skill-building plans, and provide hands-on instruction in budgeting, meal planning, and household management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in social services, psychology, education, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in human services, ILS instruction, mental health, or developmental disability support is highly beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet any agency driving and background check requirements.

Role Description

The ILS Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Sacramento, CA, responsible for teaching Independent Living Skills to individuals in community and home settings. Day-to-day tasks include assessing participant needs, developing individualized skill-building plans, and providing hands-on instruction in areas such as budgeting, meal preparation, household management, personal organization, and community navigation. The role also involves transporting or accompanying participants to appointments and community activities, modeling appropriate social and safety behaviors, and following all program policies, privacy standards, and safety procedures.
