Nurse Well Versed is seeking an illustrator and motion graphics artist to transform nursing scripts into clear, visually engaging educational videos. You will lead concept development, storyboarding, and final animation to help nursing students understand complex material.
Ideal candidates enjoy researching unfamiliar topics, can propose visual solutions, and work independently while collaborating with a clinical review team to ensure accuracy and consistent style across content.
Nurse Well Versed® creates visual educational resources designed to help nursing students understand complex concepts, retain information, and succeed throughout nursing school.
We’re expanding our educational video content and looking for an illustrator and motion graphics artist who can bring nursing concepts to life through thoughtful visual storytelling.
Our videos combine original illustrations, diagrams, and purposeful animation to explain how things work. We prioritize educational clarity and strong visual communication over elaborate character animation.
We’re looking for someone who can take a written nursing script and independently develop the visual concepts needed to communicate it effectively.
You’ll lead the creative process from conceptualization and storyboarding through illustration and final animation.
For example, if a script explains how fluid moves between different compartments in the body, you’ll determine how to visually represent that process in a way that helps nursing students understand what’s happening.
Our team will provide scripts, creative feedback, and clinical review to ensure nursing accuracy. However, we’re looking for someone who can take initiative, propose visual solutions, and thoughtfully approach unfamiliar concepts without needing every scene mapped out.
Projects will include both short-form and long-form educational videos, with opportunities for ongoing work as we expand our content.
You have a strong illustration portfolio and experience creating animated or motion graphics content. More importantly, you enjoy understanding how things work and finding creative ways to communicate that information visually.
We’re especially interested in someone who can combine artistic skills with curiosity, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving.
You should be comfortable with:
Experience in nursing, anatomy, biology, medical illustration, or science education is a plus, but not required.
We’re open to candidates without a scientific background who demonstrate a strong ability and willingness to research unfamiliar topics and translate them into effective visual explanations.
Your illustrations and animations do more than accompany the narration. They actively help students understand the concepts being taught.
You can approach an unfamiliar script, identify opportunities for visual explanations, and develop thoughtful storyboards that give our team a strong starting point for review.
As our collaboration develops, you’re able to take projects from initial concept through finished animation with increasing independence.
