Job description

This in an in-office position at our Peoria, IL headquarters.
About Us

Come join one of the fastest growing companies in North America (4x Deloitte Fast 500 award winner, 2022-2025)!

VirtuSense Technologies is advancing the transformation of proactive healthcare for all. We keep loved ones well by providing actionable insights for physicians, caregivers, and families through AI, data, and innovative sensors.

We are a driven team that unites people of all ages and places with a common purpose. We work hard because we're passionate about improving the quality of people's lives. We have fun because we see each other as people before coworkers. We succeed because we are committed to working together to create a better future for everyone, not just ourselves.

Job Summary

We are seeking a well-rounded creative to join our team as a Multimedia Specialist. You will own the visual and video side of how VirtuSense explains itself — to clinicians, facility staff, customers, and our own team. That means designing graphics, producing and editing video, and helping turn complex medical technology into clear, accurate guides and instructions.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable storyboarding a product video, laying out a one-page quick-start guide, and checking that every step in an installation procedure is correct. Healthcare experience is a strong plus: our audience works in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals, and our materials need to be precise, accessible, and trustworthy.

•Reports to: Marketing

Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
  • Design marketing, sales, and training collateral: brochures, one-pagers, trade show materials, presentations, and social and web graphics.
  • Create product illustrations, diagrams, icons, and annotated photos for guides and manuals.
  • Retouch and edit product photography and company headshots.
  • Apply and help maintain VirtuSense brand standards and templates across all materials.
Video Production
  • Plan, shoot, and edit marketing, product demo, and training videos from concept through final delivery.
  • Produce customer testimonial and case study content, including planning interviews, filming on-site at customer facilities, and shaping authentic customer stories into polished videos.
  • Create short-form video and social content for organic and paid campaigns, adapting longer-form footage into engaging assets for LinkedIn, web, email, and other digital channels.
  • Write scripts and storyboards; organize and lead crews on set for video shoots.
  • Produce motion graphics, animated explainers, and screen recordings of software workflows.
  • Record and clean up audio; add captions and subtitles so videos are accessible.
  • Create 3D renders and animations of hardware products as needed.
Product Documentation
  • Partner with the Product Team to create installation guides, quick-start guides, user manuals, and step-by-step instructions.
  • Turn technical input from engineering and support into clear, accurate instructions for clinical and facility staff.
  • Produce the visuals and short how-to videos that accompany written documentation.
  • Review content for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before release, and keep materials current as products change.
  • Follow document control and review processes appropriate to a regulated medical device environment.
Collaboration and Operations
  • Work with marketing, product, engineering, clinical, and support teams to gather requirements and verify information.
  • Work directly with customers and internal client-facing teams when needed to coordinate shoots, gather stories, and create materials that support customer education, engagement, and success.
  • Brainstorm campaign and content ideas with the creative team.
  • Maintain an organized library of creative assets, source files, and published materials.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines, and look for ways to make the creative workflow more efficient.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Film/Video Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of professional experience across graphic design and video production.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Demonstrated experience writing or producing step-by-step guides, instructions, or training materials.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
  • Exceptional attention to detail: you catch the wrong screenshot, the missing step, and the inconsistent label.
  • Hands-on camera, lighting, and audio experience for on-location and studio shoots.
  • A portfolio that shows range across design, video, and instructional content.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work on-site in an office and production environment, with occasional travel to customer facilities for filming.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, health tech, or another regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with clinical settings such as skilled nursing facilities or hospitals, and the staff who work there.
  • Technical writing experience, including installation guides, user manuals, or SOPs.
  • Experience with document control, version management, or regulated review and approval workflows.
  • Experience with Figma, screen-recording tools, or documentation and help-center platforms.
  • Audio engineering experience and familiarity with Sony cinema or mirrorless camera systems.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards for video and print (captions, contrast, readable layouts).
What Success Looks Like
  • Clarity: A nurse or facility technician can follow your guide or video the first time, without calling support.
  • Accuracy: Every step, screenshot, and callout matches the product as it ships.
  • Range: You move easily between a polished brand video, a technical diagram, and a printed quick-start card.
  • Ownership: You take projects from brief to delivery, ask good questions, and keep improving how the work gets done.

In your resume, you must include links to your portfolio that show range across design, video, and instructional content. Else, you will automatically be rejected from consideration. This is an example of what the aforementioned "exceptional attention to detail" qualification looks like.
