Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Litigation Attorney to join our Illinois team. The role offers hybrid or remote flexibility and opportunities for mentorship in a growing practice.

Ideal candidates will handle a diverse defense caseload, draft litigation documents, manage deadlines, and collaborate across colleagues to achieve favorable outcomes for employers and insurers in state proceedings.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois law license in good standing.
• Experience handling Illinois workers' compensation defense matters.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic case management systems, legal billing software, and legal research platforms.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel as needed for hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload from intake through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategies and collaborate with colleagues on investigations and complex issues.
• Represent clients before state workers' compensation commissions and applicable courts.
• Handle pretrial proceedings, hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conduct and defend depositions, including medical experts and witnesses.
• Draft litigation reports, pleadings, motions, and other documents.
• Maintain organized electronic case files and accurate billable time records.
• Build strong client relationships through timely reporting and clear updates.
• Conduct legal research and evaluate claims to support case resolution.
