Job summary

HTU is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy across multiple care settings under medical supervision. You will collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based interventions and ensure patient-centered care.

The role requires a Master’s in Communication Disorders, ASHA CCC-SLP, Illinois SLP license, and BLS. Prior hospital/home health experience is valued, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences is required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification is required.
• IL state SLP license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year of clinical SLP experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and home health policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy to outpatient, inpatient, swing bed, and home health patients under physician direction.
• Collaborate with family, nurses, and other care providers as needed.
• Supervise home health aides when the speech therapist is the sole skilled discipline.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing speech and language therapy services to outpatient, inpatient, swing bed, and home health patients under the direction of the attending physician.
• Collaborating with family members, nurses, and other responsible persons as necessary during therapy.
• Supervising activities of home health aides when the speech therapist is the only skilled discipline involved.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with:

• Master's Degree in Communication Disorders & Sciences.
• Current certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Current Illinois state Speech Language Pathologist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and home health policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teaching skills.
