Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Laboratory professional to lead immunohistochemistry (IHC) and histochemistry (special stains), ISH and immunofluorescence testing. You’ll manage slide prep, QC and LIS interfaces, serving as a HTL III across the lab and playing a key role in complex analytical procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with biology/chemistry credits, 5 years histology experience, and ASCP HTL certification; preferred leadership in IHC platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a combination of biology and chemistry credit hours (30 semester hours) within or in addition to the degree.
• Knowledge of IHC, Special Staining, ISH and related skills.
• 5 years of Histology Laboratory experience, including IHC and special staining.
• ASCP certification as an HTL.

Responsibilities

• Perform immunohistochemistry (IHC) and histochemistry (special stain), ISH and immunofluorescence testing on assigned platforms.
• Prepare slides, conduct quality control and interface with LIS/IT systems.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge as a system-wide resource and fulfill HTL III level duties.
