Job summary

ProMedica in Toledo, OH is seeking a Histology Technologist II for the Anatomic Pathology lab. You will perform routine and complex histology procedures, support the Pathologist, and help train new staff. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates with a 2-year commitment.

The role requires an Associates or Bachelor’s in Histotechnology, with ASCP HT/HLT eligibility. Afternoons, full-time, 40 hours per week, in a high-volume lab with QA duties.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Science or Applied Science (or equivalent) and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Histotechnology.
• Two years histology experience with HS diploma and eligibility for ASCP (HT or HLT) may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex histologic techniques on tissue samples for microscopic examination.
• Support Pathologist in providing accurate diagnoses.
• Create and monitor quality assurance programs in the lab.
• Instruct new associates or students as required.
