Job summary

Proconex is seeking a Systems Engineer with Ignition SCADA expertise to support and enhance manufacturing automation solutions for customers in regulated environments. You’ll work with operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and OT teams to deliver reliable automation, dashboards, and scalable systems.

The role emphasizes design through startup, with emphasis on troubleshooting, data integration, and ongoing support across Life Sciences and manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.
• 2+ years in industrial automation experience.
• 3+ years Ignition SCADA development and support.
• 3+ years integrating PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
• 3+ years developing HMI/SCADA for industrial operations.
• 2+ years SQL databases, queries, data integration.
• 2+ years troubleshooting automation and manufacturing systems.
• 2+ years in a customer-facing engineering or technical role.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Ignition HMI/SCADA apps and automation solutions.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, equipment, historians, and databases.
• Configure OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP networks.
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and visualizations for operations.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, databases, networks, and integrations to reduce downtime.
• Support upgrades, migrations, deployments, and lifecycle activities.
• Participate in project design through testing, commissioning, and startup.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, IT, and quality teams.
• Create and maintain documentation, configurations, specs, tests, and procedures.
• Support validation, CSV, or GMP-regulated environments as needed.
• Monitor performance and identify reliability improvements.
