Job summary
Proconex is seeking a Systems Engineer with Ignition SCADA expertise to support and enhance manufacturing automation solutions for our customers across life sciences and industrial sectors. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and quality teams to deliver reliable automation, troubleshoot, and participate in projects from design through startup.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related technical discipline; 2+ years in industrial automation.
- 3+ years Ignition SCADA development and support.
- 3+ years industrial automation experience in manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years integrating PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or similar).
- 3+ years developing HMI/SCADA applications for industrial operations.
- 2+ years working with SQL databases, queries, and data integration.
- 2+ years troubleshooting automation, controls, and manufacturing systems.
- 2+ years customer-facing engineering or technical support experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication; 2+ years cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain Ignition HMI/SCADA applications and industrial automation solutions.
- Integrate Ignition with PLCs, equipment, historians, databases, and OT systems.
- Configure and support OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP networks.
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, visualizations, and interfaces for operations.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA systems, databases, networks, and integrations to minimize downtime.
- Support automation system upgrades, migrations, deployments, and lifecycle activities.
- Participate in project execution from requirements gathering through startup.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and quality teams to deliver reliable solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
- Support validation, documentation, and compliance in regulated environments when required.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers, providing training and knowledge transfer as needed.
