Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Moon Township, PA, is seeking an Ignition Developer to design, implement, support, and improve industrial applications across multiple manufacturing sites. You will work with engineers, operations teams, IT personnel, and business stakeholders to deploy Ignition solutions that enhance data visibility, system integration, and manufacturing performance.

The role reports to the Team Lead, Process Control NA.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, SCADA development, or related field.
Minimum 3 years in developing and supporting applications using Ignition.
Experience with Ignition Perspective and/or Vision.
Experience with PLC platforms and industrial communication protocols.
Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Ignition software.
Develop Perspective and Vision applications including HMIs, dashboards, reports, and tools.
Configure and maintain tags, UDTs, alarms, historical data, security, and gateway settings.
Integrate PLCs and plant-floor equipment with Ignition; support databases and third‑party systems.
Develop Python scripts and database queries to support manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot performance issues and participate in enterprise Ignition deployments.
