Job summary

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Controls Engineer with 5-7 years Manufacturing domain expertise and hands-on experience with IoT and Industry 4.0 / Factory Automation including systems integration, Industrial Devices, Operational Technologies (OT), PLC/SCADA/MES/ERP/LIMS, OT-IT integrations in Regulated Environment (Pharma/Biotech/Medical Devices)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop features in Ignition SCADA system and build integration with other systems through Ignition platform.
• Develop documentation including creating test scripts as required for validation.
• Work as a team player in project teams.
• Ability to travel to clients’ sites for installation and on-site testing

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Hands on experience for Perspective and Vision modules in Ignition SCADA.
• Knowledgeable in ISA S95 and S88 standards and terminologies.
• Experience with definition of functional requirements for SCADA solutions and interfaces through client workshops and documentation analysis.
• Development of detailed designs, implement, troubleshoot and test SCADA and integration solutions that meet project requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of Architecture, Installation, configuration, Licensing, Scripting, Reporting, Database transactions with Postgres DB in Ignition.
• Experience in communication Protocols like OPC(UA&DA), TCP, UDP, XML.
• Knowledge of at least one of programming languages (Python, Java, C# or VB.net).
• Experience in template and UDT development and troubleshooting.
• Experience in server-client architecture.
• Experience in developing the code, generating and executing test protocols
• Flexible to work in any part of the SCADA development.
• Experienced in network and field bus modules Modbus TCP, Ethernet/, TCP/IP.
• Co-ordinate and carry out Full Functional Factory Testing (including UAT).
• To develop and improve systems in line with cGMP and other industry standards.
• Familiar with Change Control methods.
• Quickly learn new skills and technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 7-12+ years of experience delivering industrial automation solutions.
• Ignition Certification
• Minimum 5 years hands-on Ignition development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in GMP pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing.
