IFS ERP Technical Project Manager
Direct Hire
We are partnering with a growing, multi-site organization seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong IFS experience to take ownership of critical enterprise technology initiatives and play a key role in the future of its IFS environment.
The organization currently operates IFS Applications 10 and has committed to a future transition to IFS Cloud. This individual will work across IT, business operations, leadership, and external consulting partners to improve the current IFS environment, standardize processes across business units, and lead technical projects from planning through implementation and stabilization.
This is an opportunity for an experienced IFS professional to take meaningful ownership of both the current ERP landscape and its future transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Project Management
- Lead complex IT and ERP projects from discovery through implementation and post-go-live support.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, priorities, risks, resources, and dependencies.
- Coordinate IT teams, business stakeholders, leadership, vendors, and consultants.
- Manage testing, documentation, change management, deployment, and project communication.
- Hold third-party vendors and consultants accountable for project deliverables.
- Lead process improvement, integration, application, infrastructure, cloud, reporting, and technology initiatives.
IFS ERP & Cloud
- Manage IFS enhancements, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and process-improvement projects.
- Partner with business users to gather requirements, identify process gaps, and improve utilization of IFS.
- Coordinate with internal IT resources, IFS specialists, database teams, vendors, and consultants.
- Oversee ERP testing, releases, deployments, and post-implementation activities.
- Help standardize how IFS is used across multiple business units.
- Support planning and readiness for the organization's transition from IFS Applications 10 to IFS Cloud.
- Participate in gap assessments, migration planning, RFP/RFQ development, vendor evaluation, and implementation-partner management.
- Understand how IFS interacts with surrounding applications, databases, APIs, infrastructure, and reporting systems.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects, including schedules, risks, resources, budgets, and vendors.
- Production ERP experience is required.
- IFS ERP experience is strongly preferred, particularly supporting, implementing, upgrading, administering, or integrating IFS.
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications, infrastructure, data, integrations/APIs, and business systems.
- Experience managing third-party consultants, vendors, and technology partners.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical initiatives.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently lead projects and work effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
