REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION LEVEL:	Two years successful post high school education. District experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:	At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills, knowledge of programming for students with disabilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:	Constant hearing, hand-eye coordination/mind-eye coordination; intermittent keyboarding and telephoning. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:	Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiency in spreadsheets, and databases, and word processing. Demonstrated ability to work well with others. Demonstrated organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

Enters and maintains banks of student objectives and information for computerized IEP databases.
Provides teachers with draft IEPs, based on teacher checklist.
Elicits parent input for IEPs or evaluations.
Contacts parents to schedule IEP meetings and conferences.
Completes and mails parent notices, with teacher input and principal signature.
Disseminates and collects classroom teacher forms needed for Individual EducationPlans (IEPs) to classroom teachers.
Routes and disseminates quarterly and annual progress checks to be completed byteachers.
Maintains building database of student IEP and evaluation dates.
Checks and updates student list for December 1 count.
Monitors IEP and evaluation due dates, numbers of student suspensions, dates to implement transition plans and transfers of rights, and completion of all required paperwork.
Routes and maintains all paperwork required for compliance with regulations.
Participates in all compliance and computerized IEP training as requested by the District.
Serves as a building resource in using and updating IEP software.
Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
