Job summary

FullBloom is seeking an IEP Specialist to work alongside SESI and school staff to coordinate educational programs for students needing special education support. You will monitor ISBE-compliance, manage IEPs, and collaborate with families to drive outcomes.

As a mentor to classroom staff, you will aid in onboarding, plan transitions, and participate in Education Committee meetings, while using SESI’s models and data-driven plans to improve student success.

Qualifications

Current SPED Teaching license (LBS1) required.
Experience with similar student populations in a school setting preferred.
Experience coaching staff and collaborating with families.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to record and analyze data using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, manage, assess needs and assign students to special education programs.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new campus staff.
Develop and implement transition planning and Indicator 13 services.
Maintain IEP and student file databases.
Prepare and attend IEP meetings with proper documentation.
Provide professional development for staff and parent education.
Maintain relationships with school district, parents and community.
Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
Organize and deliver staff meetings and trainings.
Participate in Education Committee meetings and share updates.
