Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an IEP Coordinator to lead academic, emotional, social, and behavioral support for students. You will coordinate IEPs, mentor campus staff, and collaborate with families to drive positive outcomes and compliance with ISBE standards.

You will support recruiting, onboarding, and professional development across campuses. The role emphasizes data-driven planning, collaboration with directors and resource teams, and implementing SESI’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; SPED certification or principal certification preferred.
• Experience with similar student populations in a school setting.
• Experience coaching staff; strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, assess needs and assign students to special education programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding campus staff.
• Develop and implement transition planning and services (Indicator 13).
• Maintain IEP database and student file databases.
• Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings, ensure documentation is complete and ISBE compliant.
• Plan staff and parent education on special education programs.
