Job summary

BASIS Ed in the San Antonio metro area seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to deliver instructional services aligned with IEPs for students with disabilities. You’ll collaborate with general education teachers and service providers while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

You will provide direct services in small groups or one-on-one, participate in IEP meetings, develop intervention plans, write IEPs, and track progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• 1+ years experience in a special education setting preferred.
• Texas fingerprint clearance and eligibility for hire in Texas public schools.
• Certification in CPI or TACT-2 for crisis intervention preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP management systems such as ESPED or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education services in small groups or one-on-one settings to meet IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure timely compliance with all special education regulations.
• Develop and implement academic and behavioral intervention plans for students.
• Write, develop, and update IEPs, ensuring alignment with student needs, state regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications.
• Collect and report progress on IEP goals and maintain student data documentation.
