BASIS Austin is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to deliver instructional services aligned with IEPs for students with disabilities, collaborating with general education staff to support inclusive practices.

The role requires experience with IEPs, data collection, and reporting, with state compliance knowledge. Candidates should have Texas fingerprint clearance and be eligible to work in Texas Public Schools; bachelor's in special ed preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid fingerprint clearance per Texas state regulations.
• Eligible for hire in Texas Public Schools.
• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education services in small groups or one-on-one to meet IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement IEPs, aligning with state regulations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations.
• Collect and report progress on IEP goals and maintain data documentation.
• Coordinate itinerant service providers, including scheduling student services and meetings.
• Assist in the special education evaluation process, including initial assessments and reevaluations.
• Provide case management and communication with families and staff.
• Support instruction with differentiated strategies and inclusive practices.
• Maintain confidential student records and internal/external reporting.
