Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an IEP Coordinator to support students needing academic, emotional, social, and behavioral services.

You will work with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program and mentor classroom staff. Responsibilities include coordinating IEP processes, maintaining databases, organizing meetings, and onboarding new staff while collaborating with principals, families, and school teams to ensure ISBE compliance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• SPED Teacher Cert or Principal Cert required.
• Experience in a similar school setting preferred.
• Experience coaching staff.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Data recording and analysis using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment for special education programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding campus staff.
• Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13.
• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database.
• Prepare and attend students' IEP meetings, ensure ISBE compliance of IEPs.
• Plan and deliver staff and parent education relating to special education programs.
• Maintain relationships with school district, parents and community.
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
• Organize and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings.
• Participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team.
