Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with special education case managers and school staff;
  • Have proficient knowledge of IEP and RTI processes;
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Serve as the lead contact for case managers and staff regarding current issues in special education; provide support to Special Education Teachers.
  • Oversee follow-up paperwork in collaboration with case managers to ensure compliance of state and federal mandates;
  • Monitor case manager compliance for IEP’s, evaluations, and paperwork timelines;
  • Attend and serve as designated administrator for annual and triennial IEP meetings (shared with administration) and others as assigned by directors;
  • Write and draft written notices to be reviewed and submitted by the case managers, obtain consents and releases to maintain compliant special education records for meetings attended;
  • Experience writing IEP goals related to targeted standards;
  • Assist with scheduling of IEP meetings in collaboration with secretarial staff at their grade level span (K-5 or 6-12);
  • Consult on a regular basis with Director and Assistant Directors for Special Services;
  • Oversee Special Education Programing In conjunction with Building/District Administrators
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Directors of Special Services

We are seeking a collaborative and organized IEP Coordinator to support students in Grades 6–12.
