Purpose of the Job

The IEC Maintenance Mechanic exists to effectively and efficiently repair and maintain existing equipment and fabricate and install new equipment in order to meet production goals and expectations on a consistent basis while maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health, & Safety Standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible

• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot systems and equipment
• Repair or replace faulty equipment
• Fabricate parts as required
• Follow all SOPs and written or verbal instructions assigned by Managers and Supervisors
• Prepare and complete maintenance documentation, such as work orders and preventive maintenance forms
• Communicate in English for end‑of‑shift turnovers
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and applicable company policies
• Participate in continual improvement program and work within guidelines of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001
• Provide training to new employees if assigned by supervisor
• Repair and maintain all equipment (pumps, GLVs, filter presses, etc.) to industry standards
• Wear a half‑mask respirator
• Operate forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack
• Have electrical background and experience with high voltage up to 480V
• Automation and PLC background
• Read and draw electrical wiring diagrams
• Troubleshoot wiring and PLC issues
• Work on instrumentation: flowmeter, level sensors, pH/ORP instruments, and more

Accountable

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Ability to build control boxes and panels

Support

• Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to complete source‑stated maintenance activities
